A worthy cause, a local community group
Open Door 1 approached Cool Code Company back in July 2025, seeking some assistance with their website. As a community group based in Sutton-in-Ashfield providing vital services to those suffering with dementia, as well as their family and carers, they came to the conclusion that their website was no longer fit for purpose.
Over the years, it had become outdated, clunky and no longer represented the full breadth of services they offered to their local community despite many individuals having come to rely on their resources, support and social opportunities.
As a local business committed to giving back, we were thrilled to support them - not only to help them reach more people in need but also to strengthen our community together.
Back to basics
Cool Code Company began by stripping back unnecessary complexity. The existing site was rebuilt on a more straight forward and modern platform so it is faster, easier to navigate and far more intuitive for visitors. Navigation was simplified, content restructured and a clean, accessible design introduced to make it easy for families, carers and referral partners to find the information they need.
The redesign brings clarity to the full scope of what Open Door 1 offers from day services, social activities and meals to transport and advice for carers - ensuring the website now fully reflects the warmth and reliability of this crucial community group.
Out with the old
Having launched the website two weeks ago, the team at Open Door 1 are already feeling the benefits and so are their users!
