A new client on the block
Cool Code Company has successfully completed the full takeover of a critical in-house software system used by Peppers Cable Glands Ltd to ensure uninterrupted operations after the manufacturer’s previous software vendor announced it would cease trading.
Peppers Cable Glands, a globally respected manufacturer supplying industries such as oil & gas, marine and pharmaceuticals, relies on a bespoke platform called P-ex - for quoting, stock control, purchasing and sales order processing. With the system central to daily operations, the business required a dependable technology partner who could manage the transition without interruption.
A crucial transition for a mission critical system
The cessation of trading by the original vendor created an important need for ongoing support, maintenance and future development of the P-ex system. Peppers sought a partner capable of taking full ownership with minimal disruption - a responsibility Cool Code Company readily accepted.
Our team immediately began a structured knowledge transfer process to understand the system in detail, including:

Handover completed in April
The full transfer of responsibilities was completed this April with no downtime and no impact on Peppers’ day-to-day operations. Cool Code Company now manages all aspects of the P-ex platform, including system support, maintenance, optimisation and new development work.
The Peppers’ team can now rely on a responsive development partner ready to act whenever the need arises.
