Frontend Developer - Angular

Position: Frontend Angular Developer (Mid) 

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience 

Location: Hybrid in Nottingham (min 2 days per week in the office)

Cool Code Company are a well-established bespoke software development company based in Nottingham. We’ve been helping our clients transform the way they work for over 18 years through our bespoke software solutions which range from bespoke websites, integrations and applications to custom CRM systems and pretty much everything in between. We use a wide variety of technologies to best suit our clients' requirements including but not limited to .NET, Angular, Java and Swift. We have clients in both the private and public sector and work with businesses of all shapes and sizes across a wide range of industries. 

The role 

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional developer to join us on a permanent basis. We do not yet have a definitive start date but expect it to be towards the end of July to early August – we'll agree a date that suits us both. This role will be predominantly focused on one or two projects although there may be a requirement to widen this scope. We are looking for a developer who has working experience with Angular, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript. 

We would like to hear from Midlands based candidates who have at least 5 years professional, commercial experience working on B2B projects. Candidates must be able to travel into the office a minimum or twice a week and some weeks, particularly in the beginning, may require more time on-site – this is non-negotiable so please do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement.  

Responsibilities 

Working to a specified list of tasks for websites and/or applications 

Testing and bug fixing of your code 

Checking in code to GitHub 

Experience 

Minimum 5 years of professional experience working on B2B development projects (Essential) 

Recognised coding qualification(s) and/or a related degree (Desirable) 

Experienced in working with Agile principles (Desirable) 

Experience working on cloud-based enterprise level systems (Desirable) 

Hard Skills 

Demonstratable working experience of Angular (Essential)  

Demonstratable working experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Essential) 

Other Skills 

Solid Communication skills 

The ability to work independently and as part of a team as needed 

The ability to work with changing priorities at short notice 

Laser attention to detail

The interview process will consist of - 

  1. An initial Teams chat with our Head of Client Services where she will explain more about the role and get a deeper understanding of your skills and experience 
  1. A face to face meeting in our Central Nottingham office with the MD where you will discuss how your skills and experience suit the projects you’ll be working on

There will be a probationary period of 3 months so we can both assess and ensure you are a good fit for the role.
